"The Hunger Games" Tennis Outing

Hey guys!

The long awaited tennis outing has finally arrived! I know everyone is having your holidays now, so there is no reason why you are not free! ;)

So, about this event, it's going to be a whole day event from like noon to afternoon, say around 6-7pm. We have yet to decide the date for this outing but for now, we will stick on to 24 March 2012. For this outing, we will be having a mini Hunger Game cum Survivor cum Amazing Race! Isn't it exciting?! :D

What I need from you guys right now is to click the 'Yes' button if you are going! and for those who click 'No', I am disappointed and please don't click 'Maybe'! Also, for those who can make it, we are really grateful if you can pass $5 to us which will cover your entrance fee to Sentosa and of course, lunch!

STA Interclub Singles League Trials.

Hello guys!

Some of you may have heard about the STA inerclub competition and yes, we are here to recruit players who will be representing our club!

If you are interested and want to join the tournament, do come down for the trials which will be held on 28th January 2012, Saturday and it will commence from 0930 to 1800 at Kismis Field, Ngee Ann Polytechnic

However, there are some conditions for this tournament:

1. This trial is strictly for guys and current students in Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Why?: Because chosen students are representing the tennis club of Ngee Ann Polytechnic.

2. Registration for trials ends on the 26th of January, Thursday at 2359.

3. All participates must be able to at least do a service and able to hold a rally.

4. Pleased do not sign up for the trails if you are going overseas during the duration of the competition.

5. Any latecomers on the day of the competition will be disqualified.

6. if you are interested, contact any of us.

If you are wondering when the competition commences, it is from 17th March 2012 to 22nd April. It will be during the weekends; Saturdays and Sundays. Further information will be given out later.

Rules and Regulations '12

Hey guys!

As I have said in the previous post, we will be setting up a new set of rules and regulations. We are strict on rules and we really appreciate it if you follow the rules.

Here are the new sets of rules:

1. Club fund of $5 per semester/6 months

2. Attendance wise; Must be more than 85% per semester for CCA points to be awarded.

Come for the training once a week will do...

3. Proper attire; shirt and shorts and sport shoes. NO canvas shoes ARE ALLOWED; Would not be allowed to play

4. Safety; Practice safety in courts by looking for fellow members when playing

5. Right attitude; Come for trainings with the right attitude and determination

Updates for the Year 2012.

Hello!

As the year 2012 is approaching, here is a quick update.

Firstly, a new committee has been elected by the Committee 2011. So here is the new members of the Committee 2012:

On behalf of the Committee 2012, we would like to say thank you to those who have put their trust on us and of course, we would do our very best to run the tennis club and continue coach's legacy.

Secondly, the tennis trainings will start on 5th January 2012, Thursday. Our beloved Year 3 seniors will be the one who is going to teach us. Thus, I encourage everyone of you to come down.

Lastly, a new set of rules and regulations has been created in order for the club to run in an orderly fashion. And, the Committee 2012 will do a short briefing on the first training of the Year 2012 to all the club members.

So, do jot down on your schedule and come down for tennis trainings. If you have any enquiries, don't hesitate to give us a call or drop us an email. Informations are on the other page.

These are some of the pictures and I hope you like it. All of us enjoyed the camp and had fun together. Though all of us got really dirty but we knew that it was an AWESOME camp after all. If I have to describe the camp with a word, that will be "awesome", no doubt. So don't miss out next year camp where it will be double the fun and double the craziness!

Ngee Ann Tennis Camp '11.

Hello guys!

If you didn't attend our camp, it's alright! I am here to post some pictures and videos of the 3days 2 nights camp.

1st day

The camp started pretty smoothly even though it started to rain. The Committee '11 did an awesome job to overcome it. We played quite a few games to get to know one another. If the first day was awesome, then you would know that the next few days will be pretty awesome too!

2nd day

It was the best part of the camp! All of us played all sorts of games but the most interesting part of it was the dirty games! We played touch rugby with chicken, egg, orange, peeled banana and etc. Even though we played on a muddy field due to the rain, we still dared to get ourselves dirty. This is the thing about camp, we dared ourselves and had fun with one another as a club!

All these happened in the afternoon so here's what we did at night. After dinner, we went to watch a movie, a horror movie if you were wondering, and some of us were obviously scared even the boys. However, the night was still young, so we had a night walk at the campus and then back to the loft. At loft, we were told that they had a surprise for us. So all of us pair up and took turns to go up. Guess what, they actually prepared 'haunted houses' and it was really scary!

After that, we ended the night.

Last day

The camp ended with the Annual General Meeting '11 and we had an appreciation ceremony for the Committee 2011. All of us agreed that the camp was awesome and all of us were having a great time as a club.

Renovation in Progress.

Hey guys!

As you can see the title of this post, we are going to redesign our blog.

Some of you may be wondering why we are revamping it. Well, as the year 2011 is coming to an end, we want something new for the upcoming year 2012.
